Our Charitable Projects
Offsetting carbon emissions is a global issue, and that is why Oaklore became involved with The Bliss Family Charity.
The Bliss Family Charity is registered with the charity commission umder number 113165 since 2006. The charity operates to support OVC's (orphans and vulnerable children) in Africa. The support to date includes the provision of infrastructures, including classrooms, school kitchens and water supply, as well as funding for school books/uniforms. It also contributes towards salaries of teaching and catering staff.
Network for Africa helps survivors of genocide in Africa rebuild their lives. N4A trains resilient people with skills they can use to support, educate and feed their families, breaking the cycle of poverty. It also helps genocide survivors manage the trauma that persists after conflict ends, especially among abducted child soliders. Oaklore is concerned about the effects of deforestation at home and overseas: Rwanda, with the highest population denisty in Africa, suffers the effects of soil erosion due to deforestation. By helping Rwandan families earn a living through sustainable agriculture, we are directly benefiting the environment.
